UEA Board Releases New Exterior Improvement Program Guideline

Updated Facade Grant Program Guidelines Released by Urban Enterprise Association Board
 
 
The Connersville Urban Enterprise Association (CUEA) is now offering grants and rebates for property owners within the Urban Enterprise Zone.  The UEA office (City Hall Bldg, 504 N. Central Avenue) has the guidelines, a map of the zone and applications for both residential and commercial projects.  The program is available to owner-occupied, non-owner occupied, and commercial property.  Owners are eligible for a 50 percent rebate on exterior improvement projects up to $5,000 ($2,500 rebate) every 12 months. Grants of up to $5,000 may be available to those with extenuating circumstances.
 
The CUEA has allocated $20,000 for the fiscal year 2017-18 (July-June) with funds still available for this year.  Applications will be reviewed by the board of directors.  The next meeting is on Thursday, June 8th and applications must be submitted by Monday, June 5th to the Office of the EDG located in city hall, 504 N. Central Avenue, Connersville.  You may contact the EDG at (765) 827-1366 for property eligibility or additional information on program guidelines.
 
The Chamber is posting the program guidelines on its website at:  fayetteINchamber.com  under the RESOURCE tab.  The applications can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate application link for either RESIDENTIAL Facade Form  or COMMERCIAL Facade Form.  Interested applicants can print the forms, complete, and submit to the UEA office located inside the city's municipal building.
